Diagnose a Trainer that joined Wi-Fi but cannot complete the R+D online health check.
Meaning
E-DTT-1 means the online health check failed. The Trainer may have joined the local Wi-Fi network, but it did not complete the required server request. This does not prove that a firewall is the cause.
Diagnostic ladder
1. Confirm ordinary network service
Using another device on the same Wi-Fi, confirm that the internet works. Restart the router only if you are authorized to do so and other clients also have a problem.
2. Repeat Wi-Fi setup
Follow Connect the Trainer to Wi-Fi. Re-enter the password and let the Trainer restart.
3. Check network restrictions
Look for a captive browser login, client isolation, paused/blocked devices, parental controls, DNS filtering, or an IoT/guest network that blocks outbound traffic. Do not disable the entire firewall; change only a rule you understand or ask the network administrator.
4. Compare with a simple hotspot
Connect the Trainer to a phone hotspot as a temporary diagnostic test. If the hotspot works, the original network configuration is the likely boundary. If both fail, collect evidence for support.
A hotspot test can use mobile data. Restore the intended network afterward; do not leave credentials on a shared phone without permission.
Success
The Trainer restarts, completes preflight without E-DTT-1, and fetches the expected template and toy.

Email support@researchanddesire.com with:
- Trainer ID and firmware version if shown;
- whether Wi-Fi setup itself succeeds;
- whether another client has internet on that network;
- whether a phone hotspot changes the result;
- router/network type and exact error text.
Do not send Wi-Fi passwords or account credentials.
