RADR FAQs and Troubleshooting

Find concise answers and canonical guides for RADR controls, connection, compatibility, charging, Wi-Fi, updates, and support.

Where should I start?

Use the RADR start guide to choose OSSM, validated Lovense, or another-device guidance. Before connecting anything, read RADR Safety and test Stop with the target device unloaded.

What do the bumper buttons do?

While controlling OSSM, the bumpers move between depth, sensation, and stroke adjustments. Their action is context-dependent; use RADR Navigation and Controls for the complete button map.

Why does a device not appear or connect?

Close other Bluetooth controllers, confirm the exact model is validated, put it in advertising mode, move it nearer, power-cycle both devices, and scan again. Do not select an unnamed result. Follow Scan and Connect a Device for the failure checklist.

Is my device or firmware supported?

Use the dated RADR Device Compatibility matrix. Board-family names, an upstream Bluetooth registry entry, or a successful scan are not sufficient evidence that every control has been tested. Report the exact RADR version, target-device version, model, and behaviour when requesting support.

How do I connect Wi-Fi?

RADR uses a temporary setup network to save a 2.4 GHz network for updates. The canonical steps and recovery advice are in Connect RADR to Wi-Fi.

How do I update or recover RADR?

Use Update RADR Firmware for preparation, verification, and interruption recovery. If over-the-air update is unavailable or RADR will not start normally, review the data-cable and browser requirements before opening the RADR Web Flasher.

How do I charge RADR?

Connect its USB-C port to a suitable USB power source with an undamaged cable. Battery runtime varies with display, feedback, radio use, battery age, and firmware; this documentation does not promise a fixed duration. Stop using a battery that swells, leaks, overheats, or is physically damaged and contact support.

A button feels different, rattles, or does not register. Should I open RADR?

Do not open or adjust the enclosure based only on a generic FAQ. Record which control fails, whether the action registers on screen, and any recent drop or damage, then ask support for the correct inspection or replacement path.

How do I get help or request compatibility?

Email support@researchanddesire.com with the RADR firmware version, exact connected-device model and firmware, steps to reproduce, on-screen message, and actual physical response. You can also use the contact form.
